Dr Simone Gonzo

Dr Simone Gonzo is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families. With a professional philosophy centred on patient-centred care, she enjoys all aspects of general practice, from managing acute illnesses to supporting patients with long-term health journeys. Dr Gonzo believes in fostering strong, collaborative relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel supported and informed at every stage of their medical care.

Throughout her career, Dr Gonzo has developed a broad range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on family health, mental health, and complex primary care. She is highly skilled in chronic disease management and has a keen interest in women's health, including menopause treatments, gestational diabetes, and iron deficiency management. Additionally, she is experienced in performing various clinical procedures, such as ingrown toenail surgery, the excision of skin lesions, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices like Implanon and Mirena.

Dr Gonzo began her healthcare career working as a Registered Nurse in hospitals across Australia before deciding to transition into medicine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from The University of Queensland in 2010. Demonstrating her commitment to clinical excellence, she went on to achieve Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015. Alongside her clinical practice, she is passionate about medical education and actively contributes to the profession by teaching and training GP Registrars and Medical Students.
