Dr Simona Fischer

Dr Simona Fischer is a highly qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a clinical focus that spans the entirety of a woman's reproductive journey, Dr Fischer is dedicated to supporting her patients from preconception and fertility management through to pregnancy, delivery, and beyond. She is known for her reassuring and thorough approach, ensuring that every patient feels informed, comfortable, and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.

Specialising in both low-risk and high-risk obstetrics, Dr Fischer is particularly skilled in managing complex pregnancies and deliveries. Her gynaecological expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, with a strong focus on minimally invasive options. She has a keen interest in complex laparoscopic surgery, which she utilises to treat conditions such as endometriosis and to perform procedures like endometrial ablation. Additionally, as a Fertility Specialist, she provides personalised fertility assessments and advanced reproductive treatments, including in vitro fertilisation (IVF), helping individuals and couples navigate their path to parenthood.

Dr Fischer completed her medical education at the University of Auckland, earning her Bachelor of Human Biology (BHB) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). She undertook the majority of her specialist training at a leading women's health hospital in New Zealand before relocating to Australia to further her expertise in advanced laparoscopic techniques, fertility, and high-risk obstetrics. Dr Fischer is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and holds active membership with the Fertility Society of Australia.
