Dr Simita Shome

Dr Simita Shome is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare with a strong emphasis on building long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Her holistic approach ensures that each patient receives personalised care tailored to their unique health needs.

Dr Shome graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2002. Demonstrating a strong commitment to advanced medical training, she completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Paediatrics in 2011. She also holds the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate and has been an accredited Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) since 2018.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Shome has developed particular clinical interests in children's health and women's health. Her expertise also extends to preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and mental health. She strongly believes in the importance of continuity of care, working closely with her patients to support their ongoing health and well-being. Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family and friends.
