Dr Sidra Akhtar

Dr Sidra Akhtar is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on preventative medicine and early intervention, she prioritises building long-term relationships with her patients to understand their unique personal contexts and medical histories. This holistic approach allows her to deliver highly tailored and effective management plans for individuals and families across all stages of life.

Dr Akhtar graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and subsequently obtained a Diploma in Dermatology. Demonstrating a commitment to clinical excellence, she achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015. She remains actively involved with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, contributing to the ongoing development of the profession and supporting the training of future medical students.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Akhtar has a broad range of clinical interests, with particular expertise in women's health, paediatrics, mental health, and chronic disease management. Her advanced training in dermatology enables her to address various skin concerns, and she has a special interest in aesthetic medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Additionally, she is highly skilled in performing minor clinical procedures, such as the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, the excision of skin lesions, and the drainage of abscesses.
