Dr Shriniwas Chinta

Dr. Shriniwas Chinta is an experienced Neonatologist and General Paediatrician with over two decades of clinical experience in newborn and paediatric care. He completed his basic paediatric training in India, followed by specialist training in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai University—one of India’s leading medical institutions.

After relocating to Australia, Dr. Chinta undertook advanced training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division), which he completed in 2014. He subsequently worked as a postgraduate fellow and consultant in neonatal medicine at Liverpool Hospital NICU, and went on to complete further advanced training in General Paediatrics in 2019.

Dr. Chinta has extensive experience caring for critically ill newborns and managing a wide range of paediatric conditions across both metropolitan and regional hospitals in New South Wales. He currently serves as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Consultant in Neonatology at Sydney South West Private Hospital and Gosford Private Hospital, where he provides specialist care for newborns in the NICU and special care nursery, as well as ongoing outpatient follow-up for infants post-discharge.
