Shirley Lockie

Shirley Lockie is a highly experienced Nurse Practitioner, and Surgical Assistant practising at Dr Phil Lockie’s Practice. After qualifying as a Registered General Nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Northern Ireland in 1991, Shirley built an extensive clinical career across a range of surgical specialties. She has assisted numerous surgeons in robotic, laparoscopic, upper gastrointestinal, bariatric, and hernia surgery, developing a comprehensive understanding of patient care before, during, and after surgical intervention.

In 2020, Shirley completed a Master of Nursing at La Trobe University, Australia. As a Nurse Practitioner, she is qualified to assess, refer, prescribe, and provide ongoing support for patients managing weight-related health concerns. She has a particular interest in metabolic health and recognises that successful weight management requires an individualised approach. Through detailed metabolic assessments, Shirley works with patients to identify the most appropriate treatment pathway, whether surgical or non-surgical.

Shirley also leads ANKHÉ Metabolic and Aesthetics within Dr Phil Lockie’s Practice, offering services designed to support both health and confidence. Following a personalised consultation and facial analysis, she provides tailored treatment plans that may include cosmetic injectables, medical neurotoxin treatments for conditions such as hyperhidrosis, and specialised skincare solutions for the face and body.
