Abdalla is an experienced Australian General Practitioner and specialist in circumcision and vasectomy surgery at Circumcision Vasectomy Australia (CVA). He personally performs more than 1,400 circumcision and vasectomy procedures each year, combining surgical experience with a strong foundation in general practice, procedural medicine and patient-centred care.
Dr Abdalla is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), a qualified pharmacist, and holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). He is also an experienced GP supervisor, contributing to the education and supervision of doctors undertaking general practice training and helping develop the next generation of Australian GPs.
His medical career has included experience across both general and surgical medicine. Before focusing on general practice and procedural surgery, Dr Abdalla worked in Urology, Colorectal Surgery, ENT Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has also worked in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and General Medicine, providing him with broad experience in acute care, surgical assessment and the management of medical and surgical patients.
Dr Abdalla has also been involved in urological research, completing research into the diagnosis of bladder cancer. His research was published in the British Journal of Urology and his findings were presented at the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) Annual Scientific Meeting, an important national forum for urological research and clinical practice.
At Circumcision Vasectomy Australia, Dr Abdalla's clinical focus is male circumcision and vasectomy, treating patients across different age groups and providing comprehensive care throughout the surgical journey. His high-volume procedural experience, combined with his background in urology and other surgical specialties, enables him to approach these procedures with a strong emphasis on clinical safety, appropriate patient selection, surgical technique and postoperative care.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Abdalla remains committed to medical education. As a GP supervisor, he helps train and mentor the next generation of doctors, sharing his experience in general practice, procedural medicine and patient-centred care.
