Dr Shani Mendis

Dr Shani Mendis is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare. With a broad clinical background and a reassuring approach, she supports patients of all ages and backgrounds. Dr Mendis focuses on delivering holistic care, ensuring that each individual receives personalised attention tailored to their unique health needs.

Dr Mendis completed her medical education at the Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2011. Following her graduation, she successfully obtained her Australian Medical Council Certificate. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence in General Practice.

Before transitioning to General Practice, Dr Mendis gained valuable clinical experience working in major hospitals across Queensland and New South Wales. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, and General Medicine. This diverse hospital background has equipped her with the skills necessary to manage complex medical conditions and acute health concerns. Her clinical interests are broad, encompassing chronic disease management, women's health, mental health, aged care, and paediatrics.
