Dr Saveena Singh

Dr Saveena Singh is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care. She specialises in a broad range of psychiatric conditions, with a particular focus on women's mental health, youth mental health, and general adult psychiatry. Dr Singh is dedicated to supporting her patients through tailored treatment plans, ensuring a reassuring and collaborative environment to help individuals achieve optimal mental well-being.

Her clinical interests are diverse, encompassing perinatal psychiatry, which includes managing medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as treating menstrual and perimenopausal mood disorders. Dr Singh also possesses extensive expertise in addressing trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, she provides support for individuals experiencing addictive disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, and grief and loss. Her holistic approach to psychiatric care allows her to address complex psychopathology with sensitivity and clinical excellence.

Dr Singh obtained her medical degree (MBChB) in South Africa before moving to the United Kingdom, where she completed her Master of Medical Science in Clinical Psychiatry (MMedSc) and gained valuable experience working within the public health system. Upon relocating to Australia, she obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Singh is actively involved in research and medical education. She serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Examiner at a prominent Australian university, contributing to the training of future Psychiatrists, and has served on the John Cade Fellowship Trials working committee.
