Dr Sarit Badiani

Dr Sarit Badiani is a General and Colorectal Surgeon with advanced expertise in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. He provides comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of colorectal and general surgical conditions, delivering evidence-based, patient-centred management tailored to individual needs.

Dr Badiani manages both malignant and benign colorectal diseases, including colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, haemorrhoids and complex anal fistula. He is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon and is committed to minimally invasive techniques where appropriate, aiming to optimise recovery, reduce complications and improve long-term outcomes.

He completed his medical degree in the United Kingdom before undertaking General Surgical training in Australia, where he achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He then completed two years of advanced subspecialty training through the bi-national ANZTBCRS/CSSANZ Colorectal Fellowship Program, training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Badiani holds a public hospital appointment at The Northern Hospital in Epping and also consults and operates privately. He is actively involved in medical education and serves as a Conjoint Lecturer at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. His research interests include colorectal cancer outcomes, management of anastomotic leaks, and the impact of obesity and metabolic disease on colorectal surgery.
