Dr Sanjeev Ranjan

Dr Sanjeev Ranjan is a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in General Adult Psychiatry. He provides comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. Dr Ranjan is committed to helping patients navigate complex psychological challenges, working collaboratively with them to develop personalised treatment plans that promote long-term recovery and well-being. His clinical approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and evidence-based practice, ensuring that each patient feels supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Ranjan focuses on the assessment and management of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and neuropsychiatric conditions. He has a particular clinical interest in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) using a combination of pharmacotherapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), specifically exposure and ritual prevention therapy. Additionally, he offers Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and is accredited to administer advanced interventions such as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Dr Ranjan also provides specialised services including Independent Medical Examinations, Workcover reviews, and assessments of permanent impairment.

Dr Ranjan holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Psychiatry. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), reflecting his adherence to the highest standards of psychiatric practice.
