Dr Sani Erak

Dr Sani Erak is a highly qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Subiaco, Western Australia, who specialises in comprehensive hip and knee care. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Erak focuses on restoring mobility and improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing joint pain, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions. His clinical practice encompasses a wide range of advanced surgical procedures, including primary and revision joint replacements, hip arthroscopy, and sports-related knee reconstructions. Dr Erak completed his medical education at the University of Western Australia, graduating with Honours in 1994. During his early surgical training, he was awarded the prestigious Gordon-Gordon Taylor medal for achieving the highest mark in Australia and New Zealand in the primary surgical examination. He went on to complete advanced training in orthopaedics, earning a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2005. To further refine his expertise, Dr Erak undertook extensive post-fellowship training, specialising in sports surgery in Canberra, hip and knee arthroplasty and sports surgery in Sydney, and advanced hip and knee arthroplasty at a renowned unit in London, Ontario, Canada. He returned to Western Australia in 2007, subsequently being awarded a Fellowship of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
