Dr. Ru-Dee Ting

Dr. Ru-Dee Ting is a highly esteemed consultant general and interventional cardiologist at Sydney Cardiology, where he leads the department of Cardiology at Sydney Adventist Hospital. With a wealth of experience and expertise in various cardiac interventions, Dr. Ting is dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients.

Specialising in coronary angioplasty, rotational atherectomy, diagnostic intracoronary imaging, and right heart catheterization, Dr. Ting is proficient in both radial and femoral access coronary angiography. His skills extend to structural interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation, atrial septal defect closure, patent foramen ovale closure, and transcatheter mitral valve repair. Additionally, Dr. Ting offers diagnostic services such as transthoracic echocardiography, exercise stress echo testing, and various monitoring procedures.

Dr. Ting's journey to becoming a cardiologist began with his medical degree from the University of Melbourne, followed by specialised training in cardiology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He further honed his expertise through an interventional fellowship at St Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada. As a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, Dr. Ting continues to contribute to the advancement of cardiac care through his clinical practice and research endeavours.

With a PhD and a Masters of Clinical Trials from the University of Sydney, Dr. Ting has conducted significant translational research focused on cardiovascular risk factors and the effects of interventions on microvascular complications. 

Dr. Ting's dedication to medical education is evident through his roles as a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney clinical school and a senior clinical lecturer at the Macquarie University clinical school. He actively engages in undergraduate education and delivers lectures to primary care physicians on various aspects of cardiology.

With admitting privileges at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital, and Macquarie University Private Hospital, Dr. Ting ensures that his patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care across different healthcare settings.
