Dr Rosemary Field

Dr Rosemary Field is a dedicated and compassionate General Adult Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care. She works collaboratively with her patients, helping them understand their difficulties within the context of their past and present life experiences and relationships. Her reassuring and patient-centred approach ensures that individuals feel supported as they navigate their mental health journeys.

In her clinical practice, Dr Field specialises in psychotherapy for a wide range of conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, depression, complex trauma, and perinatal and life stage changes. She is highly skilled in delivering trauma-focussed care, utilising evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and somatic-based approaches. Her therapeutic interventions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, promoting long-term healing and emotional well-being.

Dr Field completed her medical training at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2000. In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Psychiatry (MP). She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of psychiatric practice and continuing professional development.
