Dr Rose Ruiz

Dr Rose Ruiz is a compassionate and highly accomplished General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a clinical approach grounded in empathy and professionalism, she supports patients of all ages through various stages of life. Dr Ruiz focuses on delivering personalised healthcare solutions, ensuring that every individual receives the highest standard of medical attention in a reassuring environment.

Dr Ruiz earned her Doctor of Medicine from De La Salle College of Medicine in 1985. She initially trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Philippines before relocating to New Zealand, where she qualified as a Registered Nurse and gained extensive experience working in emergency, orthopaedic, and cardiology departments. After completing the requirements for general medical registration, she transitioned into general practice in 2004. Dr Ruiz holds professional Fellowships with both the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Throughout her career, Dr Ruiz has expanded her clinical capabilities by undertaking specialised training in cosmetic medicine and skin cancer surgery. She maintains a deep interest in women's health and youth mental health, offering expert guidance and supportive care. Her diverse skill set also includes fracture management and skin cancer checks, allowing her to address a wide range of primary healthcare needs.
