Dr Robert Vrij

Dr Robert Vrij is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical background spanning multiple continents, he brings a wealth of international medical knowledge to his practice. Dr Vrij is committed to delivering reassuring and high-quality healthcare, ensuring that every patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique health needs.

In his daily practice, Dr Vrij covers all aspects of general medicine, with a strong focus on preventative health management and chronic disease care. He has a particular interest in conducting thorough skin checks and performing minor surgical procedures. Additionally, he is experienced in utilising advanced medical technologies, such as continuous blood sugar monitoring for patients managing diabetes. Dr Vrij also contributes to the future of the medical profession through his active involvement in medical education and the supervision of training students.

Dr Vrij obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Erasmus University in the Netherlands. Following his graduation, he completed a three-year training programme in Emergency Medicine, Surgery, and Health Management, which earned him a Diploma of Tropical Medicine. This specialised training enabled him to work with the Dutch Government as a General Officer and District Medical Officer in remote regions of Botswana and Zimbabwe. He later relocated to Scotland, where he completed his Joint Committee on Postgraduate Training for General Practice (JCPTGP) training and worked in General Practice. After moving to Australia, Dr Vrij achieved his fellowship and has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) since 2007.
