Dr Ria Kanazaki

Dr. Ria Kanazaki is a skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. She graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008 and completed her physician training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. After receiving her fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Kanazaki trained at several prestigious institutions, including Wollongong Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital. She is accredited in colonoscopy and gastroscopy with the Conjoint Committee.

Dr. Kanazaki’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), bowel cancer screening, and liver disease. She is dedicated to improving patient care and outcomes through her work in clinical research. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales, where her research aims to enhance the delivery of evidence-based care through clinician education.

Her work has been widely published in both Australian and international scientific journals, and she is an active member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). Dr. Kanazaki is passionate about providing personalised, patient-centred healthcare to ensure the best outcomes for those in her care.
