Dr Rebecca Shields

Dr. Rebecca Shields is a highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynaecologist dedicated to providing comprehensive care to women across all stages of life. She completed her medical degree at Monash University in 2006.

Throughout her career, Rebecca completed her obstetric and gynaecology training primarily at Monash Medical Centre and Box Hill Hospital. Her diverse training background has equipped her with expertise in a wide range of areas, including pregnancy care, general gynaecology, laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, menstrual disorders, menopause, vulval conditions, PCOS, and contraceptive counselling.

In addition to her private practice at Empower Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Rebecca holds a public appointment at the Mercy Hospital for Women, where she actively participates in teaching and mentoring the next generation of obstetricians and gynaecologists. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills to shape the future of her field.

Rebecca is known for her compassionate approach to patient care and her dedication to supporting women through every stage of their health journey. As a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and a member of prominent professional societies such as the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Society and the Australian Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, Rebecca remains committed to upholding the highest standards of care and staying up to date with the latest advancements in her field.
