Dr Ranil Gunewardene

Dr Ranil Gunewardene is a highly experienced psychiatrist. They are dedicated to teaching and knowledge sharing in psychiatry, for both mental health clinicians and the public. They have presented at numerous teaching sessions and conferences.

As a psychiatrist, they have extensive skills and experience in the treatment of mood, trauma, anxiety and psychotic disorders, among other areas of mental health. They are passionate about delivering excellence in service provision and continual improvement in patient care.

Dr Gunewardene has a strong interest in innovative therapies, having been involved in published TMS research programs early in its exploration as a novel therapy in Australia. They have cared for numerous patients with severe treatment-resistant depression and PTSD over their career.
