Dr Raffi Qasabian

Dr Raffi Qasabian is a vascular and endovascular surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and surgical management of arterial and venous disorders. His practice covers a broad spectrum of vascular conditions, including aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot complications and varicose veins. He performs both open surgical procedures and minimally invasive endovascular interventions, with particular expertise in angioplasty, stenting and endovascular stent-grafting.

Following his surgical training in Australia, Dr Qasabian completed a fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital in London in 2007, gaining further experience in complex open and endovascular vascular surgery. He has since developed a broad clinical practice in Sydney, alongside ongoing involvement in regional vascular services, medical education and international surgical outreach.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Qasabian has contributed to surgical education and professional leadership. He has taught medical students, coordinated surgical teaching and supported surgical trainees preparing for fellowship examinations. He served on the New South Wales State Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for nine years, including a period as chair, and has been involved in professional education through lectures and surgical training courses.

Dr Qasabian consults through Vascular Associates, based in Camperdown, Sydney, and holds clinical appointments at several hospitals, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Mater Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospital. He also provides services at Tamworth Hospital in regional New South Wale.
