Rachael Walden

Rachael Walden is a dedicated and compassionate registered Psychologist who provides supportive, evidence-based care to individuals and couples. She believes in establishing a safe, soothing, and non-judgemental environment where clients feel empowered to express their concerns and explore their experiences. Emphasising a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing, Walden integrates her passion for healthy living with clinical expertise to help clients achieve balance, clarity, and sustainable positive change in their lives.

In her clinical practice, Walden focuses on a wide range of psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and self-esteem issues. She has a particular interest in weight loss therapy, helping clients address emotional eating and develop healthy habits from the inside out. Her therapeutic toolkit is diverse and tailored to each individual's needs, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness. Additionally, she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, and she utilises the Gottman Method Couples' Therapy to support couples in navigating relationship challenges.

Walden completed her academic training in Australia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Swinburne University of Technology and a Master of Health Science (Behavioural Science) from the University of Sydney. She is registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds professional membership as an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Her diverse professional background also includes experience as a qualified Fitness Instructor and a Recruitment Consultant, allowing her to bring career guidance and an enthusiasm for healthy living into her therapeutic methods.
