Dr. Preetam Ganu

Dr. Preetam Ganu is a highly dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who is deeply passionate about improving women's health. With extensive expertise in both obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Ganu manages a wide range of complex conditions. Her clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics and medical disorders in pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes. In her gynaecological practice, she specialises in the management of chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to offer holistic support. She is also a highly skilled Laparoscopic Surgeon, performing advanced minimally invasive procedures, and has a strong focus on fertility treatments, menstrual disorders, fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and ovarian cysts. Additionally, she provides essential services such as cervical screenings, colposcopies, contraception advice, and the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants.

Dr. Ganu completed her initial medical training in India, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Upon relocating to Australia, she undertook extensive postgraduate training and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). Committed to continuous professional development, she has also pursued a Master of Reproductive Medicine to further her expertise in fertility and reproductive health. Dr. Ganu is an active member of several professional networks, including the Adelaide Pelvic Pain Network, and regularly contributes to the education of General Practitioners and other Medical Specialists on topics such as menopause and endometriosis.
