Dr Pragya Sharma

Dr Pragya Sharma is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families. With a patient-centred approach, she focuses on delivering high-quality medical care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Dr Sharma is committed to fostering long-term relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel supported and reassured throughout their healthcare journey. Throughout her career, Dr Sharma has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She is particularly passionate about women's and sexual health, offering services such as family planning, contraception advice, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices like Implanon and Mirena. Additionally, she is highly skilled in paediatrics and children's health, chronic disease management (specifically diabetes and hypertension), and cardiology. Her expertise also extends to managing Workcover matters and occupational injuries, ensuring patients receive appropriate care and rehabilitation support.

Dr Sharma obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Pune University in India in 1993. To further her professional development and maintain the highest standards of clinical practice, she achieved fellowship status as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Alongside her clinical duties, Dr Sharma is actively involved in medical education, dedicating her time to supervising medical students and mentoring overseas-trained doctors.
