Dr Peter Yee

Dr Peter Yee is a dedicated General Practitioner who is passionate about preventative health and offering holistic care to all of his patients. He chose to specialise in general practice because he enjoys the diverse and unpredictable nature of each day, allowing him to build meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals and families. Dr Yee is committed to providing comprehensive medical support that addresses both the immediate and long-term well-being of those under his care.

Dr Yee completed his medical degree at The University of Melbourne, graduating in 2011. Prior to his medical studies, he was a fully qualified Optometrist, and his interest in medicine was sparked by basic science research into the impact of fish oil on diabetic eye disease. This research led to him being awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), a Bachelor of Optometry (B Optom), and a Diploma of Surgical Anatomy. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Throughout his career, Dr Yee has gained a broad range of clinical experience by undertaking training across multiple major health services and hospitals. This diverse background has provided him with valuable expertise in key areas such as paediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery. In addition to general medical consultations, he performs minor surgical procedures, including the removal of skin lesions, ensuring his patients receive convenient and high-quality care.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr Yee enjoys spending time with his young family. His personal interests and hobbies include cycling, engaging in do-it-yourself projects, and discovering new places to eat.
