Dr Peter Stevens is a highly respected General Practitioner who has dedicated his career to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to rural communities. Dr Stevens completed his medical education at the University of Tasmania, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1972. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, reflecting his advanced expertise in addressing the unique healthcare needs of regional and remote populations. In recognition of his outstanding service to medicine and the community, he was also awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.
