Dr Peter Nicholas

Dr Peter Nicholas is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare services to the community of Goodna, Queensland. Having grown up in rural south-east Queensland, he brings a deep understanding of regional health needs and a patient-centred approach to his practice. He is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised care to individuals and families, ensuring that every patient feels supported and well-informed throughout their healthcare journey.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Nicholas worked as an Engineer, having completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Agricultural Engineering in 1993. He subsequently pursued his passion for medicine, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2012. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has furthered his clinical expertise by completing an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer.

Throughout his career as a General Practitioner, Dr Nicholas has developed a strong clinical focus on skin cancer medicine and general dermatology. He is highly experienced in all aspects of skin cancer assessment and management, including performing thorough skin checks, utilising dermoscopy, and providing both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for skin lesions. He is passionate about promoting skin health and assisting his patients in understanding and managing their unique skin traits.
