Dr Noor Ali

Dr Noor Ali is a highly accomplished Consultant Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Surgeon who provides comprehensive, patient-centred eye care. With a reassuring and precise approach, Dr Ali specialises in advanced cataract surgery and glaucoma management, alongside medical retina and uveitis. She is dedicated to safeguarding her patients' vision by utilising the latest technological advancements and tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs. As a dual-trained specialist, Dr Ali possesses extensive expertise in performing complex cataract surgeries, particularly in eyes with co-existing glaucoma or ocular inflammation. She is highly proficient in modern glaucoma care, offering a full spectrum of treatments ranging from detailed risk assessments and genetic counselling to advanced surgical interventions. Her surgical repertoire includes state-of-the-art Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) as well as traditional, gold-standard procedures such as trabeculectomy and drainage tube implants. Additionally, she manages medical retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, through targeted therapies and precise ocular injections.

Dr Ali obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Auckland in 2010. Following her initial medical training, she completed her specialist Ophthalmology training in New Zealand. To further refine her skills, she undertook prestigious, advanced subspecialty fellowships in medical retina and uveitis in Sydney, followed by specialised glaucoma training at a world-renowned eye hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom. Dr Ali is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. She also holds active memberships in several professional bodies, including the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists, the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society, and the Uveitis Special Interest Group.
