Dr Nitin Tandon

Dr Nitin Tandon is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of her patients in the Cannon Hill community. She adopts a patient-centred approach, ensuring that every individual receives sincere, honest, and empathetic care tailored to their unique needs. Having lived in three different countries, Dr Tandon possesses a deep appreciation for both Eastern and Western cultures, allowing her to connect meaningfully with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Dr Tandon completed her medical education at the University of Queensland, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Demonstrating a strong commitment to clinical excellence, she went on to achieve Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively involved in medical education, serving as a supervisor for training General Practitioner registrars and medical students.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Tandon provides comprehensive care across all stages of life. She has a particular focus on women's health, offering services such as pregnancy and maternity shared care, fertility support, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices, including Mirena, Implanon, and non-hormonal copper intrauterine devices (IUDs). Her expertise also extends to chronic disease management, preventative medicine, men's health, sexual health, and mental health support. Furthermore, she is skilled in performing skin checks and excisions, managing skin cancer, and administering specialised treatments such as iron infusions, ear suction, and allergic testing. Dr Tandon is also qualified to provide Hepatitis B management and treatment, as well as plant-based prescribing for conditions such as chronic pain and insomnia.
