Dr Murray completed his medical degree, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University in 1997. He went on to complete his fellowship in rural General Practice in 2003, earning a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FARGP). Additionally, he holds a Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA) credential, having completed training in anaesthesia at a regional base hospital.
