I've been seeing Dr De Luca for around three years after 15+ years of mismanagement by previous specialists. Dr De Luca took the time to listen and understand my medical and personal needs, concerns and individual symptoms, knowing not everyone fits the cookie cutter. He has provided me with an effective drug treatment that my last specialist didn't consider or offer, along with a high-level of monitoring and ongoing, genuine care. When you have an autoimmune disease, 'quality of life' is at the forefront of your mind, always. It's the difference between holding down a job, being there for your kids, being able to enjoy the outdoors and travel on holidays without a concern. All these things felt impossible before I saw Dr De Luca and I now have a sense of normality and true 'quality of life'. He also shares a great sense of humour along with a level of professionalism that I've never had with any other specialist. He epitomises a truly talented professional in the world of Gastroenterology and Hepatology!
