Dr Nathan Walmsley

Dr Nathan Walmsley is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive primary healthcare. Born and raised in Far North Queensland, he possesses a profound understanding of the unique healthcare needs of regional communities. Dr Walmsley is passionate about delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals and families receive the support and guidance necessary to maintain optimal health and well-being.

Dr Walmsley completed his medical education at James Cook University, graduating in 2005 as part of the university's inaugural cohort of medical students with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science. Following his graduation, he gained extensive clinical experience working across various regional centres in Queensland. He successfully completed his specialist training in General Practice in 2012 and subsequently completed a 12-month Advanced Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to further expand his clinical capabilities.

In his clinical practice, Dr Walmsley enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with a particular focus on family medicine, general medicine, and chronic disease management. His broad training allows him to manage complex health conditions while offering preventative care tailored to each patient's life stage. Dr Walmsley's reassuring and professional approach helps patients feel comfortable and empowered throughout their healthcare journey, as he works collaboratively with them to achieve long-term health goals.
