Dr Morteza Hayati

Dr Morteza Hayati is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care. With a career spanning both public and private mental health sectors, he is dedicated to supporting individuals facing complex psychological challenges. Dr Hayati adopts a holistic approach to mental health, combining evidence-based medical treatments with tailored psychotherapeutic interventions to promote long-term recovery and well-being.

Dr Hayati obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree and qualified as a Board-certified Psychiatrist in Iran in 2004, where he also served as an Assistant Professor. After moving to Australia, he completed further psychiatric training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2023. He is also an active member of the RANZCP ADHD Network Committee.

Throughout his career, Dr Hayati has gained extensive experience working within inpatient and outpatient settings across various public and private health services. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of mental health conditions, with particular expertise in adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), mood disorders, and complex trauma. He is highly skilled in psychopharmacology as well as various psychotherapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). In addition to his clinical work, he has been actively involved in clinical research and the education of medical students and trainee Psychiatrists.
