Dr Monica Tang

Dr Monica Tang is a highly dedicated Medical Oncologist who practices in Randwick, Australia. She specialises in the treatment of breast cancer and is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. In addition to her clinical focus on breast and gastrointestinal cancers, Dr Tang is a leading Staff Specialist in Cancer Survivorship, working closely within multidisciplinary teams to co-ordinate and optimise long-term recovery and well-being for individuals who have completed their primary cancer treatments.

Dr Tang completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours at UNSW Sydney. She subsequently earned a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in 2022 from UNSW Sydney, where her doctoral research investigated the use of real-world evidence to study systemic cancer therapies. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and holds an academic appointment as a Conjoint Lecturer with the Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNSW Sydney.

Passionate about improving the quality of life for cancer survivors, Dr Tang actively leads clinical initiatives and research projects focused on risk-stratified models of care. Her research interests encompass health services research, systemic cancer therapies, and utilising linked health data to drive clinical improvements and patient outcomes across Australia.
