About Mr Mohamed Atalla
Mr Mohamed (Mo) Atalla is a bariatric and general surgeon, endoscopist, and robotic surgeon with over 18 years of surgical experience. He completed his specialist surgical training in Melbourne through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, before undertaking advanced post-fellowship training in bariatric surgery in Auckland, New Zealand, under renowned bariatric surgeon Mr Michael Booth.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Atalla holds an academic appointment as Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and has published extensively in peer-reviewed surgical journals. He is a credentialed endoscopist under the GESA Conjoint Committee and is trained in robotic surgical techniques. His practice is guided by a commitment to safe, minimally invasive techniques and optimal patient outcomes, and he is fluent in Arabic, enabling him to care for a broad and diverse patient population.
