Dr Michael Elliott

Dr Michael Elliott is a highly qualified Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and Head and Neck Surgeon who provides comprehensive care for both adult and paediatric patients. He manages a broad spectrum of general ear, nose, and throat conditions, with a particular focus on nasal and sinus issues, as well as the assessment of sleep disorders. Dr Elliott is dedicated to delivering personalised, compassionate, and evidence-based care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan to address their specific concerns.

In addition to general otolaryngology, Dr Elliott possesses specialised expertise in the management of benign and malignant conditions of the head and neck, including disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary glands. He is also one of the few Specialists in Australia with dedicated expertise in treating complex styloid-related conditions, such as Eagle Syndrome and Stylojugular Syndrome. His commitment to clinical excellence is reflected in his active involvement in translational research and his role as a Clinical Associate Professor, where he contributes to the education and mentoring of future Doctors and Surgeons.

Dr Elliott completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1996. He subsequently undertook basic surgical training before completing a Master of Philosophy in the Field of Medical Science at the University of Queensland in 2005. He completed his Advanced Training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in 2008, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. To further refine his skills, he completed an intensive twelve-month Head and Neck Fellowship at a prominent tertiary hospital in London. Dr Elliott is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the Australian and New Zealand Head and Neck Society, and the Australian Endocrine Surgeons Association.
