Dr Meredith Tassone

Dr Meredith Tassone is a highly experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 25 years of consultant practice, providing comprehensive care across all stages of women’s health. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne in 1989, before undertaking specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Mercy Hospital for Women and in the United Kingdom. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 1998.

Dr Tassone has extensive expertise in managing both high and low risk pregnancies, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care. Her clinical interests also include contraception, menstrual management, menopause care, and hormone replacement therapy, enabling her to provide holistic, lifelong care tailored to each patient’s needs.

She has held a leadership role as Head of an Obstetrics Unit at The Mercy Hospital for Women, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and team-based care. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Tassone is actively involved in mentoring trainee obstetricians and gynaecologists, as well as medical students. She remains dedicated to ongoing professional development through regular attendance at seminars and conferences, ensuring her practice reflects the latest evidence-based care.
