Dr Meredith Barrett

Dr Meredith Barrett is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to helping patients of all ages and backgrounds achieve optimal health and well-being. She provides holistic, person-centred care, ensuring that each patient's unique physical and mental health needs are addressed. With a background that spans both clinical practice and academic research, Dr Barrett brings a comprehensive and evidence-based perspective to her medical consultations.

Dr Barrett completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours before embarking on her medical career. She obtained her graduate medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2008, following a previous career in physics and education. Committed to advancing her knowledge in community health, she also completed a Master of Public Health at Monash University in 2022. Dr Barrett is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her high standards of clinical competence and dedication to the field of General Practice.

In her clinical practice, Dr Barrett is experienced in most areas of General Practice, with particular clinical interests in preventative health, women's health, young people's health, and mental health. She is also qualified to provide medical termination services. Alongside her clinical work, she serves as a GP Researcher with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, where she contributes to key research projects aimed at improving general practice training and patient outcomes across Australia.
