Dr Megan Phillipa Ryan

Dr Megan Phillipa Ryan is a compassionate and dedicated General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Based in Bowral, Australia, she brings a wealth of diverse clinical experience to her practice, having previously cared for patients across the Central Coast, Sydney, and Canberra. Dr Ryan is deeply passionate about preventative healthcare, focusing on empowering individuals to make positive, sustainable changes to support their long-term health and well-being.

Dr Ryan's extensive medical training is complemented by a strong academic foundation. She initially completed a Bachelor of Nursing before pursuing her medical degree, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours. To further her expertise, she obtained a Diploma of Child Health and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Ryan contributes to the education of future medical professionals as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong.

With a holistic approach to medicine, Dr Ryan has developed key clinical interests in Women's Health, Fertility & Conception, Mental Health, and Lifestyle Medicine. She specialises in helping patients manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer through comprehensive health assessments and tailored lifestyle interventions. Her practice includes supporting patients with weight management, as well as providing guidance for smoking and alcohol cessation. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her young family on their hobby farm and exploring the wilderness.
