Dr Meenal Sukhwal

Dr Meenal Sukhwal is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families across all stages of life. Dr Sukhwal enjoys all aspects of General Practice, offering a broad range of medical services with a particular focus on preventative care, family medicine, and chronic disease management. Her holistic approach ensures that each patient receives personalised treatment tailored to their unique healthcare needs.

In addition to general medicine, Dr Sukhwal has developed significant expertise in skin cancer medicine and minor surgical procedures. She is highly proficient in conducting thorough skin checks and performing complex skin cancer surgeries, including flap repairs for various types of skin cancers such as melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Her clinical interests also encompass women's health, mental health, and paediatric care. Patients can access a variety of minor procedures under her care, including toenail excisions, contraceptive implant insertions and removals, and the excision of sebaceous cysts and lipomas.

Dr Sukhwal holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She has also completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). Demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous professional development, she has obtained several advanced qualifications through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, including a Certificate in Dermoscopy, an Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy, a Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine, and an Advanced Workshop in Skin Cancer Medicine. To further expand her clinical capabilities, she is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. Prior to entering General Practice, Dr Sukhwal gained valuable clinical experience working across various hospitals in Queensland and New South Wales, and she has previously contributed to the medical community as a Supervisor for General Practitioner Trainees.
