Dr Matthew Cullen

Dr Matthew Cullen is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist based in Auchenflower, Australia. He provides comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients, focusing on diagnosing and managing a wide range of mental health conditions. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Cullen is dedicated to helping individuals navigate complex psychological challenges and achieve long-term mental well-being.

His clinical interests span general adult psychiatry, with a particular focus on mood disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety disorders. Dr Cullen also specialises in the assessment and management of psychoses, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and personality disorders. He works collaboratively with his patients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs, utilising evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support their recovery journey.

Dr Cullen completed his medical training at the University of Sydney, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1985. He subsequently undertook specialist training in psychiatry and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 1992. To complement his clinical expertise, he has also completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
