About Dr Marcela Martin
Dr Marcela Martin is a Fertility Specialist providing conception advice, gynaecological care, and assisted reproductive treatments, including in vitro fertilisation (IVF). She supports patients across a range of fertility and reproductive health concerns, offering assessment, investigation, and treatment tailored to individual clinical circumstances.
Dr Martin grew up in Wollongong, New South Wales, and completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney. She undertook specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at several NSW hospitals, including St George Hospital, Sutherland Hospital, and the Royal Hospital for Women. During her specialist training, she completed additional subspecialty training in reproductive medicine.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and also holds an Honours degree in Genetics and a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales.
Dr Martin is part of the IVF Australia group and performs IVF procedures for her own patients, working closely with embryologists, scientists, and specialist nursing teams. She is actively involved in medical education, lecturing in reproductive medicine at UNSW, and is a founding member of DART, an educational association affiliated with the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Martin was incredible. She leads with care, compassion and is very in the details. She will do everything within her power to make you feel supported and that you couldn’t be in better hands. Her team are also superb, constantly available for questions and support. Could not recommend her more.
I am deeply grateful for the compassion and technical skill she brought to my journey. She turns what can be a clinical and daunting process into one filled with hope and empowerment. Fertility treatments are a rollercoaster, and her office provides a level of support that makes the lows feel manageable and the highs feel celebrated. She handles every question—no matter how small—with patience and clarity. She explains the "why" behind every medication and procedure, ensuring you feel like a partner in your own care rather than just a patient. After my egg retrieval, she took the time to personally call me and check up on me and give me an update on what happened during the procedure and just open the conversation for any questions that we have.
Dr. Martin is very pleasant, cheerful, provide a lot of info and evey details, accommodating when I ask questions and favours, and really helped us immensely with our goal to have a baby.
1000/10 - we could not highly recommend Marcela Martin enough. From the moment we called up, to the moment walked in the door for a consult to the end result of a baby. We are so incredibly grateful for all she has done. Her team of nurses are also hands down amazing.
