Dr Mahendra Nepal

Dr Mahendra Nepal is a highly respected and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care. Dr Nepal works across various clinical settings, focusing on Adult Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and private practice. Throughout his career, Dr Nepal has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on trauma-related disorders, including both civilian and combat-related trauma. He has extensive experience working with First Responders, such as Police and Paramedics, as well as Military Veterans, refugees, asylum seekers, and indigenous communities. Additionally, Dr Nepal specialises in managing mood and anxiety disorders, depression, and work-related stress. His expertise also extends to transcultural psychiatry, addiction, and providing support for individuals with physical disabilities or gender-diverse backgrounds.

Dr Nepal obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, MBBS (Hons), and completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. He qualified as a Consultant Psychiatrist in 1989. Dr Nepal holds several distinguished professional memberships, including Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and Fellowship of the International Association of Psychiatric Administrators (FIAPA) in the United States. He is also a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) in Pakistan.
