Dr Luis Prado

Dr Luis Prado is a highly accomplished General Practitioner and medical leader who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a career that spans clinical practice, academic medicine, and senior healthcare leadership, Dr Prado brings a wealth of expertise to his patients. He is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and advancing medical practice through clinical excellence and innovation.

In his clinical practice, Dr Prado focuses on a broad range of family medicine services. He has a particular interest in sports medicine, including diving medicine, as well as geriatric medicine and paediatric health. His holistic approach to patient care also encompasses men's and women's health, mental health care, preventative health and screening, chronic disease management, weight management, and sexual and reproductive health. Dr Prado aims to empower his patients to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Dr Prado completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1987. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine. Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional excellence, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA). Additionally, Dr Prado holds fellowships with several prestigious international and national bodies, including the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), the Australasian College of Health Service Management (FCHSM), and the American College of Medical Quality (FACMQ). He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds academic appointments as an Associate Professor, contributing actively to medical education and clinical teaching.
