Dr Lucy Buchanan

Dr Lucy Buchanan is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life. Dr Buchanan believes in fostering strong, collaborative relationships with those in her care, ensuring that every individual feels heard and supported in managing their health and well-being.

Dr Buchanan completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide, qualifying in 2011. Following her graduation, she gained valuable clinical experience working in Adelaide before returning to Melbourne to continue her medical career. Committed to expanding her clinical knowledge, she has also obtained a Master of Public Health and a Diploma of Child Health, which further enhance her holistic approach to patient care.

While Dr Buchanan is highly skilled in all aspects of general practice, she has developed particular clinical interests in mental health, preventative health, and young adult health. She is also experienced in performing small surgical procedures, including skin lesion removal, Implanon insertion, and wedge resections for ingrown toenails. Outside of her clinical practice, Dr Buchanan enjoys spending quality time with her family, hiking, skiing, and travelling.
