Dr Louis Beak

Dr Louis Beak is a dedicated General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to patients of all ages and backgrounds. He takes a holistic approach to family medicine, ensuring that each patient receives personalised and compassionate care. Dr Beak enjoys the diverse nature of general practice, supporting individuals and families through all stages of life with a focus on preventative health and long-term well-being.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Beak provides expert guidance in chronic disease management, child health, and both men's and women's health. He has a particular interest in skin cancer medicine, offering thorough skin checks and skin cancer management. Additionally, Dr Beak is qualified as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner, allowing him to conduct specialised aviation medical assessments for pilots. He also provides dedicated medical care for residents at local aged care facilities, ensuring older members of the community receive attentive and tailored support.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Beak completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and worked as a Speech Pathologist. He later graduated with his medical degree from Griffith University in 2012. Dr Beak gained valuable clinical experience as a Junior Doctor at a major hospital on the Gold Coast, which included focused training in paediatric and neonatal units, as well as regional medical placements. He has completed a Diploma in Child Health and continues to pursue advanced training in skin cancer medicine and surgery through the Skin Cancer College Australasia. Dr Beak is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, obtaining his Fellowship in 2018.
