Dr Lorraine Baker is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive care to patients at every stage of life. Having embarked on her medical training with a clear vision of entering general practice, she has built a career centred on supporting individuals and families through both physical and emotional health challenges. Her practice encompasses women's health, paediatrics, and mental health, alongside a focus on immunisations to prevent and mitigate the severity of infections. Additionally, she is highly interested in managing complex post-infectious syndromes, including "Long-Covid", as well as the diagnosis and management of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).
Dr Baker holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (Dip RANZCOG), and a Graduate Diploma of Women's Health (Grad Dip Wom Health). Her outstanding contributions to the medical profession have been widely recognised; she is a former President of the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) and was admitted to the prestigious AMA Roll of Fellows. She also served as the founding Chair of the Inner East Melbourne Division of General Practice, reflecting her lifelong dedication to health equity, workforce wellbeing, and community health.
