Dr Simms completed her medical education at Monash University, graduating in 1985. Following her graduation, she undertook her internship at a prominent women's hospital, where she gained invaluable clinical experience. To further her professional development and demonstrate her commitment to excellence in family medicine, she attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
