Dr Lisa Myers

Dr Lisa Myers is a highly dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist who specialises in providing holistic mental health care. She adopts a comprehensive approach to managing her clients, firmly believing that every individual deserves a practitioner who truly understands their unique story. Dr Myers is passionate about empowering her clients by equipping them with the necessary tools to self-manage and enhance their overall quality of life. She actively supports and encourages the integration of a balanced, healthy lifestyle, mindfulness, and meditation into daily routines to foster long-term emotional resilience and well-being.

With extensive experience across both public and private healthcare sectors, Dr Myers has worked in diverse inpatient and community settings. Her clinical practice spans across supporting adults, children, and adolescents, and she has built many long-term therapeutic relationships based on commitment, empathy, and clinical skill. In addition to conventional psychiatric treatments, she is skilled in psychological therapies, parenting skills, and holistic healing. Dr Myers is also a strong advocate for mental health awareness and has a deep interest in addressing trauma, neurodivergence, and the biological aspects of mental health.

Dr Myers completed her medical education with distinction, earning both a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMed.Sc) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with cum laude honours. She went on to obtain her specialist qualification as a Fellow of the College of Psychiatrists of South Africa, FCPsych(SA), and holds a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Demonstrating her commitment to the highest standards of psychiatric practice, she is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
