Dr Lindsay Ayerst

Dr Lindsay Ayerst is a dedicated Psychiatrist who specialises in Old Age Psychiatry. She is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to older adults, focusing on their unique mental health needs. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Ayerst works closely with individuals and their families to develop tailored treatment plans that promote mental well-being and improve overall quality of life.

Her clinical interests lie predominantly in the management of mood disorders and late-onset bipolar affective disorder. Dr Ayerst is also highly skilled in addressing cognitive impairment and dementia, helping patients navigate these complex conditions with dignity. She has a strong interest in holistic treatments for mental illness, including neurostimulation therapies such as electroconvulsive therapy. Dr Ayerst obtained her primary medical qualification, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
