Dr Leonie Mitchell

Dr Leonie Mitchell is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-focused care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she focuses on tailoring medical treatments to meet the unique needs of each individual. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of general medicine, with a strong emphasis on preventative care and long-term health management for patients of all ages.

Dr Mitchell completed her medical education at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009. Demonstrating a commitment to expanding her clinical skills, she obtained a Certificate in Emergency Medicine in 2012. She was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Mitchell is actively involved in the medical community, serving on the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners New Fellow's Committee and contributing to the education of future doctors as a Tutor and Examiner of medical students for the University of Queensland.

Throughout her career, Dr Mitchell has developed key areas of clinical interest, including paediatric care, preventative medicine, and chronic disease management. She is highly skilled in performing various minor procedures, such as the excision of skin lesions, ear syringing, cervical screening, and wedge resections. Her holistic approach ensures that patients receive comprehensive support, whether they require routine health assessments, management of complex chronic conditions, or minor surgical interventions.
